On Friday, April 16, 2004, 'Lionheart' promotions
in Virginia brought the Eek-a-Mouse show to town. The show
was opened by Steve of 'United
Souls' who performed a few songs such as "I know", he
was also joined onstage by Ed who sang "Easy Life" and also Ericka J.
Bryant who had little
baby boy, Fyah, on her back. After their performance, Jr. Kuchie from
Lionheart
announced the next artist up to the stage. British (who
has appeared in a few Sean
Paul videos), Cnyl, and Jett of the BIM Squad did a few short
tunes for the patrons. They were greeted with excitement and
danced as the artist sung. The crowd was also entertained by the
performance of Ancient King who had Rude bwoy 'Roots' waving the
flag of the Lion of Judah as he performed a few tunes for
the audience. The crowd was really hyped and Kidd Walker
helped them as he call up the other members of the United
Souls to play back-up for Pankhi.

When Pankhi came on the stage
the patrons cheered and yelled out as he greeted them in song.
The patrons danced up and down as he perform some of his
tunes, which included, "Journey, "Refugee",
"Earth day", and "Chalise Inna". Pankhi
was extremely energetic and worked the crowd who responded
well to him.

He has certainly grown as an artist and the crowed called him
back for an encore and he closed with
"Princess of the Raindrops". All of the tracks
he performed can be found on his debut album 'Marvelous
Journey' produced at Indigo International Studios. The people had so much love
for his
performance, it was truly a great night for Pankhi.
Before
Eek-a-Mouse came on stage British and another dancer called two young ladies
onto the stage and they showed their skills! The young
ladies: Sugar and Chell of
Norfolk were delighted
to be a part of the show and the crowd cheered and applauded.

While
the band changed Kidd Walker kept the crowd jumping with the
latest dancehall and the best in concious reggae!

Now it was time for
Eek-a-mouse to enter the stage and he came out strutting
across the stage, the entire Norva crowd of people erupted,
cheering for Eek-a-Mouse. He danced and touched the
hands of his fans as he pranced across the stage. I'm not really sure if they understood
the words he was saying but still they rocked back and forth and
danced around and enjoyed the music.
The ladies screamed as he sung and flashed his lizard like
tongue in and out of
his mouth.

Eek-a-mouse, tall and well built, danced across the
floor as if he was as light as a feather. He moved slowly with
grace and ease as he performed. The crowd had him come back for an
encore and he performed until close to 2 am. In fact he sung
from the stage and all the way up the
elevator. He sung so long the crowd started to die out from
the late hour of the show,
but the old faithful fans stuck in there until the end.

I
found that Pankhi's performance
was greeted by the fans with a little more excitement than
Eek-a-mouse. Regardless, the
night was full and the Norva was packed with fans from the
stage all the way to the back door. Once again the night was
filled with live music and the lively sounds of Reggae music to be remembered by all.
