INAUGURAL BOB MARLEY ROOTS, ROCK, REGGAE FESTIVAL: WICKEDEST SHOW ON EARTH!!!

History was made in Portsmouth, Virginia on Saturday, August 7th, (the day after Jamaica's Independence) as the Bob Marley Roots, Rock, Reggae Festival 2004 celebrated it's inaugural show!!!

West Indian Times was present to witness rock group 'Slightly Stoopid' and veteran Reggae artist Toots Hibbert celebrate along with the Marley brothers.

The review for the entire show will be coming soon and  will be written by staff writer Arleen Brooks but for me (Lady Cham) the show left me feeling fulfilled.  It was the best show I have ever witnessed and I felt fulfilled because Bob Marley's son's brought the presence of the great Reggae Icon Robert Nesta Marley into the arena.  For 23 years I have mourned not ever having witnessed Bob Marley in concert but after seeing and hearing Damian, Ziggy, Stephen, Ky-Mani and Julian, I feel that I witnessed Bob through them.  It was an awesome and spiritual show with nothing but the best in Reggae.  This show is one that is going into the history books and those fortunate enough to be there will never forget it.  The sons of Bob Marley worked together in love and harmony and brought their children onto the stage during their final song.

This is the family festival that the world has waited for and the world is not disappointed!!!
