West Indian Times has been informed by artists and promoters that Beenie Man was in a car accident in Jamaica during the early hours of this morning.

Moses Davis a.k.a. Beenie Man was driving his Hummer SUV when he lost control and the vehicle overturned.   Calibe a singer who occasionally sings  backup for Beenie Man told West Indian Times that he has a punctured lung, broken nose and fractured ribs.  She stated that at the time she contacted Jamaica, Beenie Man was conscious and that no one else was  involved in the accident.

Beenie Man was traveling towards Spanish Town when the Hummer flipped and ended up in a ditch.  He was rushed to Spanish Town Public Hospital and later transferred to St. Joseph's.

Chuck B a promoter in Miami also spoke to West Indian Times and said that Beenie Man was undergoing surgery at 12:30pm when we spoke.  Shocking Vibes confirmed to West Indian Times that Beenie Man had undergone surgery and was in recovery.  Doctors are optimistic about a good recovery.

Our prayers go out to  Beenie Man and his family at this time.
