Studio One!Sadly, West Indian Times has learnt from Foundation Media Public Relations personnel Russell Gerlach, that Clement "Sir Coxsone" Dodd of the world famous Studio One label passed away in Kingston from a heart attack this afternoon, Tuesday, May 4th.  Clement Seymour Dodd was born in Kingston, Jamaica on 26 January 1932.

It is reported that Sir Coxone was working in the studio when he began to feel flushed and complain of chest pain.  Those around him began to fan him to give him air and took him into a car to transport him to hospital but he passed away.  The time was approximately 4:30pm Jamaica time.

Condolences to his family and maximum thanks to him for being such a great part of Jamaica musical history
